Cookie policy
FixMyCarPart.com is run by [Company name]. This page lists everything we store on your device, why, and for how long. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Your choices
When you first visit, we ask you to choose between Necessary (always on), Analytics and Marketing. Optional categories are off until you opt in, and Reject all is as easy as Accept all. Your choice is stored for 6 months. You can change it at any time: .

The table lists what we store ourselves. We set no Analytics or Marketing cookies of our own and load no third-party scripts, except the YouTube videos described below, which only load after you ask for them.
YouTube videos (Marketing)
Some part and category pages show how-to videos we have picked. Until you press play, a video is a plain placeholder and your browser contacts nobody. If you have allowed Marketing cookies, we show the video's thumbnail (loaded from YouTube's image server, which sees your IP address) and pressing play loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which may set cookies of its own that are covered by Google's notice. If you have not allowed Marketing cookies, pressing play loads nothing and offers a link to watch on YouTube instead, which opens YouTube in a new tab.
Analytics without cookies
Our usage statistics count explicit actions (a vehicle search, a category choice, a part opened, a supplier click) on our own server. They do not use cookies or any device storage, do not record your IP address, number plate or a persistent identifier, and are stored only as aggregate totals. Counts of that kind generally do not need consent under PECR. We are cautious regardless: our site sends these counts only if you have chosen Analytics.
Supplier websites
When you click through to a supplier, that supplier may set its own cookies on its own site. Those are covered by the supplier's notice, not this one. We do not load advertising or affiliate-network scripts on our pages.
